1. Who we are

Confident Text is operated by Paul Timothy Anderson, a sole proprietor in Ontario, Canada. Paul Timothy Anderson is the privacy official responsible for the service. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to confidenttext-privacy@anderson-web.com.

Confident Text is an AI-assisted communication tool. It is not a dating platform and does not connect users with other people.

2. Information we handle

• Account information: account identifier, first name, email address, and Sign in with Apple information.
• Profile information: age range, dating goals, communication style, relationship status, preferences, boundaries, and other context you choose to provide.
• Messages and generated content: text submitted for help, generated replies, selected scenarios and styles, and the reply you select.
• Usage information: request status, generation counts, timestamps, service errors, history, and statistics.
• Purchase information: StoreKit product, transaction identifiers, subscription status, expiration, revocation, and purchase environment. Confident Text does not receive payment-card details.
• Network and security information: ordinary request metadata such as IP address, request time, headers, and security signals processed by service providers.

A message may contain another person's information. Submit only what is reasonably necessary and avoid confidential or highly sensitive details.

3. How information is used

• Authenticate users and maintain accounts.
• Personalize and generate message suggestions.
• Save profiles, reply history, usage, and statistics.
• Enforce Free limits and provide paid features.
• Validate and restore Apple purchases.
• Process account deletion and support or privacy requests.
• Protect, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability.
• Meet legal, accounting, safety, and fraud-prevention obligations.

Confident Text does not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or track users across other companies' apps and websites.

4. AI processing

Messages and relevant profile context are sent through a Cloudflare service to OpenAI to create suggestions. API requests ask OpenAI not to store response application state and API data is not used to train OpenAI models unless the operator expressly opts in. OpenAI may retain limited content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days unless different approved retention controls apply or longer retention is legally required.

AI output can be incorrect, unsuitable, or unexpected. Review and edit every suggestion before sending it.

5. Service providers and international processing

Confident Text relies on:

• Apple for authentication, subscriptions, billing, and refunds.
• Supabase for authentication and database storage.
• Cloudflare for API hosting, delivery, and security.
• OpenAI for AI reply generation.

Providers may process information outside Canada, where different laws may apply. Confident Text remains responsible for personal information transferred to providers for processing and requires them to protect it through their service commitments and applicable agreements.

6. Retention and deletion

• Account, profile, message, reply, usage, and statistics information is kept while the account is active and is removed when account deletion is completed, subject to backups and legal obligations.
• Failed requests and operational or security logs may be kept for up to 30 days.
• Support correspondence may be kept for up to 24 months after closure.
• Purchase, accounting, tax, dispute, and legally required records may be kept for up to seven years when necessary.
• Encrypted backups may retain deleted information temporarily until they rotate.

7. Security

Safeguards include encrypted connections, authenticated requests, database row-level security, server-only secrets, provider access controls, and account-deletion protections. No system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or information about how personal information has been used or disclosed. You can also edit available profile information, manage subscriptions through Apple, delete the account from Account Settings, and revoke Sign in with Apple through Apple settings.

9. Adults only

Confident Text is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. Contact the privacy address if you believe a person under 18 has provided information.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The updated date will be posted here, with additional notice when required.
