Clear expectations for using Confident Text.

1. Agreement and operator

Confident Text is operated by Paul Timothy Anderson, a sole proprietor in Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

Confident Text is an AI-assisted communication tool that suggests messages for dating and personal conversations. It is not a dating platform, matchmaking service, therapist, lawyer, or guarantee of a social or relationship outcome.

Suggestions may be inaccurate, inappropriate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to send them.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, legally able to agree to these Terms, and provide accurate account information. Keep your device and Apple account secure and notify support if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Confident Text to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, coerce, shame, deceive, or exploit anyone.
• Impersonate someone or misrepresent your identity or intentions.
• Create illegal, abusive, discriminatory, or sexually exploitative content.
• Share unnecessary confidential or highly sensitive information.
• Circumvent limits, subscription checks, security, or access controls.
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or misuse the service.
• Violate applicable law or another person's rights.

Access may be restricted or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, or the service.

5. Your content

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give the operator a limited permission to host, copy, transmit, process, and create outputs from it only as needed to provide, secure, and operate the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content.

6. Free and Pro access

The Free plan currently allows up to three successful Reply with Confidence requests per service day, with three options returned per request. Pro unlocks the scenarios, styles, generation allowance, and history or statistics described in the app. Reasonable technical, security, and fair-use limits may still apply.

7. Apple subscriptions

Apple processes weekly, monthly, and yearly subscriptions. The price, billing period, renewal terms, taxes, and storefront information shown by Apple when you purchase control the transaction.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple.
• You can manage or cancel them in Apple subscription settings.
• Restore Purchases can recover eligible purchases.
• Apple controls payment methods, billing, refunds, and storefront rules.
• Deleting a Confident Text account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the licensed app. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple purchase terms, the applicable Apple terms control that transaction.

8. Ownership

The software, branding, design, and service content are owned by Paul Timothy Anderson or applicable licensors. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for lawful personal purposes.

9. Account suspension and deletion

You may delete your account from Account Settings. This removes the active account data described in the Privacy Policy, subject to backup retention and legal obligations. Accounts may be suspended or terminated for material violations, fraud, security risk, legal requirements, or harm to others or the service.

10. Service availability

Features may be updated, suspended, or discontinued. Continuous, error-free availability is not guaranteed. Material changes affecting paid users will be handled as required by applicable law and Apple's rules.

11. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that are not expressly required by law. The operator is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from use of suggestions or inability to use the service.

To the extent permitted by law, total liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Confident Text during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protections.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without taking away any mandatory rights you have under the laws that apply to you. Courts located in Ontario will have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
